Logs

Get a message in one channel whenever something happens in your server: bans, deleted or edited messages, role changes, people joining and more.

Off by default. Turn it on in /autolog.

How to use it

Set up logs

  1. Make a private channel for logs that only staff can see.
  2. Run /autolog.
  3. Pick that channel in the Select Master AutoLog Text Channel dropdown.
  4. Press Master AutoLog: OFF so it turns ON. Every kind of log starts switched on.

Turn off one kind of log

  1. Run /autolog and pick a category in the top dropdown, like Voice Activity.
  2. Press the button for the log you don't want so it shows OFF.

What gets logged

  • Moderation: Bans, unbans, kicks, timeouts, warnings, slowmode and nukes, whether done with Dexel or by hand in Discord.
  • Discord AutoMod: Messages blocked by Discord's AutoMod, and nicknames fixed by Dehoist.
  • Members: Joins (with account age), leaves, roles added or removed, nickname changes.
  • Messages: Deleted messages, edits (before and after), and bulk deletes. Messages from bots are skipped, and passwords or keys are hidden.
  • Server & channels: Channels and roles created, changed or deleted, server setting changes, and invites created or deleted.
  • Voice: Joining, leaving and switching voice channels.

Commands

/autolog
Logs Manage Server

Opens the logs panel showing the status, log channel, and how many log types are on. Only you can use it, and changes save right away.

On the panel
  • Category dropdown: Switches between the main page and the log categories: Moderation, Members, Messages, Server & Channels, Voice.
  • Select Master AutoLog Text Channel: The channel logs are sent to.
  • Master AutoLog: ON / OFF: Turns all logging on or off.
  • Detectors: ALL ON: Turns every log type on at once (or all off if they are already on).
  • Log type buttons: On each category page, one button per log type, like Message Deletes: ON. Click to switch it.
  • Category: ALL ON: Turns every log type on that page on or off.
  • Back to Overview: Returns to the main page.

Dexel needs the View Audit Log permission to show who banned or kicked someone by hand. The panel stops working after 10 minutes, so run the command again if it does.
